He came to his brother. “Would you,” he said, “ give me one horse? My horse has died.” “What?! Why should I give you a horse? Why did you kill your horse? You have to feed and heal it.” “So, how shall I heal it? It got sick and died.” He did not want to give a horse, what can you do? “Where should I take a horse from?” asked the elder brother, “I have none.” He had a hundred horses and would not give even one. “Well, alright,” thought the other. He went home. His aunt became ill, seriously ill, she was all hunched over. He thought: “I will take the horse-skin, the dry horse-skin. There’s a city here. I’ll take it to the city and sell it. Maybe someone will buy it for money, for kopecks, so that I can buy bread.” He wrapped it in a little sack, it cracked, it squeaked. A horse-skin is like that. When it dries it crackles. He took it and shoved it into the sack. He shoved it into the sack, put it on small sleds and took it to the city to sell it.
