Kolyma Yukaghir is a nearly extinct language which is presently spoken by about 5 people in the north of the Sakha republic of the Russian Federation. The language is closely related to Tundra Yukaghir (about 60 speakers). The Yukaghir family is usually classified as genetically isolated, although its possible distant relationship with Uralic has been much discussed. Online documentation of Kolyma Yukaghir was compiled by Irina Nikolaeva in collaboration with Thomas Mayer in 2004. The research was funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft through Sonderforschungsbereich 471 at the University of Konstanz (Project A11). It can be found at http://www.sgr.fi/yukaghir/
